It covers red and white cell counts, blood sugar control, cholesterol and triglycerides, kidney function, urine analysis, heart rhythm, heart pumping and valves, chest imaging, lung and exertion testing.

Blood Tests and Imaging Answer Different Questions

Cholesterol and inflammatory markers describe the process that narrows arteries over years. Imaging describes the result: rhythm, chamber size, how hard the heart pumps, whether the valves work. A clean cholesterol report doesn't mean clear arteries.

Arteries narrow gradually and silently, and for a lot of people the first symptom is the event itself rather than a warning. That's the argument for measuring while there's still something useful to do about it.

Before You Book

Sample: Blood and Urine. Preparation: Fast for 8 to 12 hours before your sample. Water is fine, and keep taking any regular medication unless your doctor says otherwise. The scans are done at the centre, so book a slot for those.

Tell the collection team everything you're taking, prescription or not. Plenty of supplements move these numbers, and without that context your report reads wrong.

Reading Your Report

Expect a value or two to sit slightly outside the range. That's normal and usually means nothing on its own. What matters is which one, by how much, and whether it's moving compared with last time.

These tests point at a diagnosis. They don't make one. Read your report with a doctor who knows your history and what you're currently taking.
