It covers red and white cell counts, liver function, urine analysis, inflammation level, common fever infections.

Fever Is a Symptom, Not a Diagnosis

Dengue, malaria and typhoid can look almost identical in their first few days. An antibiotic that treats typhoid does nothing for dengue, and dengue needs watching for falling platelets in a way the others don't.

Timing matters more than preparation here. Several of these tests only turn positive after the infection has been present for some days, so a negative on day one may need repeating. Tell whoever takes your sample when the fever actually started.

Before You Book

Sample: Blood and Urine. Preparation: No fasting needed. A morning sample after an overnight gap does give the most reliable reading on a few of these, so book early if you can.

Tell the collection team everything you're taking, prescription or not. Plenty of supplements move these numbers, and without that context your report reads wrong.

Reading Your Report

Expect a value or two to sit slightly outside the range. That's normal and usually means nothing on its own. What matters is which one, by how much, and whether it's moving compared with last time.

These tests point at a diagnosis. They don't make one. Read your report with a doctor who knows your history and what you're currently taking.
