Fever Is a Symptom, Not a Diagnosis

Dengue, malaria and typhoid can look almost identical in their first few days. An antibiotic that treats typhoid does nothing for dengue, and dengue needs watching for falling platelets in a way the others don't.

Timing matters more than preparation here. Several of these tests only turn positive after the infection has been present for some days, so a negative on day one may need repeating. Tell whoever takes your sample when the fever actually started.

Expect a value or two to sit slightly outside the range. That's normal and usually means nothing on its own. What matters is which one, by how much, and whether it's moving compared with last time.
